#Miss World 71: Krystyna Pyszkova from Czech Republic is the 71st Miss World, Uganda win in Africa
Miss world Czech Republic Krystyna Pyszkova crowns as Miss World 71st Miss World this Saturday, 9th March 2024, won the coveted Miss World 2024 title at a grand event in Mumbai.

Krystyna is 25 years old with 1.81 m, and is the second Miss Czech Republic who won this crown, after 2006 pageant winner Tatana Kucharova. She was among the top 4 Miss World finalists.
Karolina Bielawska, the 70th Miss World from Poland crowns Krystyna Pyszkova from the Czech Republic the 71st Miss World.
Yasmina Zaytoun from Lebanon was named the 1st Runner-up in 116 Beauty Pageants from around the world.
Krystyna is a Czech model who knew how to play violin what she learned from her childhood and is pursuing separate degrees in law and business administration.
“I was always mesmerized by its beauty as my family enjoyed classical music when growing up. Later, I found passion in the transverse flute as well. In 2022, During the Miss Czech Republic contest, I also played both instruments in the talent round dedicating the song to Ukraine showing solidarity, compassion, and humanity in these hard times,” she revealed during the Miss World talent competition.
Her project was also among the top 10 Beauty with Purpose projects where Europe was represented by two countries, including the Czech Republic and Ukraine, 3 from Africa, Botswana, Tanzania, and Uganda, and 2 from the Americas & Caribbean, Brazil and Trinidad and Tobago and 3 from Asia Region, Indonesia, Turkey, and Nepal.
Miss World Czech Republic is raising awareness about the importance of forests and promoting sustainable forestry practices.
In her 20s, she is also the founder of the Krystyna Pyszko Foundation. The model, who is fluent in English, Polish, Slovak, and German languages, is an advocate for sustainable development through education.
Her proudest moment was opening an English school for underprivileged children in Tanzania where she also volunteered. She enjoys playing the transverse flute and the violin and has a passion for music and art having spent nine years in an art academy.
India which hosted the event after 28 years was represented by 22-year-old Shetty. Mumbai-born Shetty, who was crowned Femina Miss India World in 2022, was bested by Zaytoun who claimed the last spot in the top 4 of the competition.
However, India has won the prestigious title six times -- Reita Faria Powell (1966), Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999), Priyanka Chopra Jonas (2000), and Manushi Chillar (2017).
