#Miss World 71: Miss Uganda and Botswana among the numerous Africans Miss World Beauties best performers

Over 115 Beauties with a purpose from across the globe spent 3 weeks in Mombai, India where Krystyna Pyszkova was crowned as 71st Miss World at Jio World Convention Center, on Saturday, 9th March 2024. In this story, I’m going to show you how some African Beauties with a purpose perfumed in every activity during this 71st Miss World in India.

During these weeks, everyone started the competition as well so that the time showed the difference in every activity in the cities of Delhi and Mumbai. 

Every beauty with a purpose must show her project to the judges that could make a difference in the world. The young women also showed their talents, sports challenges, and Head-to-head challenges….

1. Head-to-head challenge

In 116 beauties with purpose, the judges decided the top 25. Among these beauties, the African pageant was 6. The judges picked 5 winners which are: Lesego Chombo from Botswana, Nokutenda Shekinah Marumbwa from Zimbabwe, and Ada Eme from Nigeria,  

The other was Yasmina; Miss World Lebanon who became 1 runner up, and and Miss World Asia 2023. But this section was won by Jessica Ashley; Miss World England.

2.   Sport challenge

This section took place at the National Stadium, in New Delhi, the judges picked the top 40 quarter-finalists of Miss World.

More and more girls played the sport and dreamed of defending their country in international competitions. The 32 finalists of this challenge fought for gold and a spot among the Top 40 quarter-finalists of Miss World.

Each continent was represented by 8 contestants. Here, Miss World Croatia, Lucija Begic, got this gold, and that helped her to be a Top 40 quarter-finalist of the 71st Miss World. The second is Ambar Zenteno from Chile, and the third is Lucia Arellano from Peru.

3.   Talent Competition

In this section, the judges picked the Top 23 finalists. Africa was represented by Botswana, Tunisia, and South Africa. Imen Mehrzi became the winner of the Talent competition and immediately was in the Top 40 of the 71st Miss World.

The Second was Kaitlyn Jessica Clarke; Miss World North Ireland, the third was Vanessa Audrey; Miss World Indonesia.

4.   Miss World Top Model

The judges picked the Top 20, where Africa was represented by Botswana, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, and Togo. The winners were Lesego Chombo from Botswana won in Africa, Axelle Rene from Martinique won in America, Sophia from Slovakia won in Europe and Nursena Say won in Asia and Oceania.

However, Axelle became Miss World's top Model competition and has secured a spot in the Top 40 of 71st Miss World.

5.   Best Designer

Best Designer Victoria Disorbo won the Best Fashion Designer Award in America. Miss World Ethiopia won this Award in Africa. Krystyna Pyszko from the Czech Republic [ 71st Miss World] won this trophy in Europe, and Sini Shetty from India won in Asia and Oceania.

6.   Beauty with a purpose

At this stage, in the top 10, the African Beauties were 3: Uganda, Tanzania and Botswana. However, Miss World Bresil, Letticia Frota became the winner of the Beauty with a Purpose Award. Hannah Karema Tumukunde from Uganda won in Africa.

In the Top 40 of 71st Miss World, The African Beauties were 13 such as Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Somalia, Botswana, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Tunisia, Cameroon, Madagascar, Mauritius, South Africa, and South Sudan.

But in every continent, judges chose 3 Beauties and continued to 2 Beauties, where Africa was represented by Uganda and Botswana.

Through that long way, the crown was taken by the Czech Model, lawyer, and learned Business Management, Krystyna Pyszeko, 25 years old, over Yasminea Zaytoun who became 1st Runner Up and Miss World Asia 2024.

The other Beauties are Lesego Chombo from Botswana and Abrahams Ache from Trinidad and Tobago in America. 

Hannah Tumukunde became a Beauty with a Purpose winner in Africa.

Miss Rwanda 2022 who was supposed to represent Rwanda didn’t attend because she ain’t the recommendation that would help her to be part of it. This is related to the case of Ishimwe Diedonne Kagame, the leader of Rwanda Inspiration Back Up which was used to organize Miss Rwanda.
