At least 280 lawyers brought to justice for fraud,forgery, and illegal exercise of the profession

They are accused of forgery and use of forgery, fraud as well as illegal exercise of the legal profession in Kinshasa, while they have been suspended since February 2023 from the Ma-Ndombe.

The president of the Mai-Ndombe criticizes the fact that these people continue to work in Kinshasa using the false lawyer cards that they have obtained.

“Since February 18, 2023, these lawyers who left the Mai-Ndombe, have been in Kinshasa, operating, receiving clients, collecting money and valuable goods”, Jérubal said.

“This is why we have just contacted the prosecutor at the Matete Court of Appeal so that he can get his hands on them. They are in the illegal exercise of the profession, they are in fraud and they are in forgery and use of forgery when they use cards which have already been invalid for more than a year on this day,” said outraged Jérubal Mputu Mokazina.

“In body language, we say that they are omitted, that is to say, that they are no longer on the list of lawyers, therefore in our directory. They no longer have the status of lawyers, they are in a coma as we say in our language,” he added.
